The Motiv Jackal Ghost became one of the most trusted heavy oil balls in the sport and the longest running asymmetric in the bowling industry, and after nearly ten years it is getting an upgrade. The Jackal Ghost V2 keeps the untouched, dominant Predator V2 Core and pairs it with a stronger, enhanced Leverage HFS Reactive solid cover built to combat modern oil conditions. Like all of Motiv’s high performance equipment, it is made in the U.S.A.

The mission was simple: build a Jackal that rolls in 2026 the way the original rolled in January of 2017. The original Jackal Ghost eventually became too clean for today’s heavier oil, so the V2 fixes that with new cover technology while keeping the legendary benchmark heavy oil motion that made the Jackal famous. It reads earlier and stronger than the original, with the same consistent, strong arc down the lane.

Motiv built the Jackal Ghost V2 for the heaviest oil. Specifically, the asymmetric Predator V2 core has a low RG and a massive differential, so it revs early and flares hard with a continuous, driving motion, while the evolved Leverage HFS Reactive solid cover at a 3000 grit LSS finish grips the front and mid lane for relentless traction.
